Terms, privacy, cookies & refunds.
idmly is operated by Nomadic Social CC, registered in South Africa (“we”, “us”). Questions about any of this: support@idmly.com.
Terms of Service
Effective 10 June 2026
idmly converts design HTML files into editable Adobe InDesign (.idml) documents. By using idmly.com or the conversion service you agree to these terms.
The service
- You upload a self-contained design HTML file; we return an .idml file (plus a Links folder when your design contains images).
- Conversion quality depends on your input file. Some designs convert perfectly, some need touch-ups in InDesign, and the service is in active beta — it is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind.
- idmly outputs the .idml file format. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Adobe. InDesign is a trademark of Adobe Inc.
Your files
- Your designs are yours. You keep all rights to the files you upload and to the converted output. We claim no ownership and use your files only to perform the conversion you requested.
- Only upload content you have the right to use. You are responsible for what you convert.
Licenses & payment
- Paid conversions are unlocked with a license key sent to you by email after purchase. A key may be activated on a limited number of browsers/devices and is for you or your team — please don’t publish or resell it.
- Orders are processed by Creem.io, our merchant of record. Creem is the seller of record for your purchase: it handles payment, invoicing, applicable taxes and refund processing. We never see your card details.
Fair use
- Don’t use the service for unlawful content, don’t attempt to disrupt or overload it, and don’t wrap it in a competing automated service without talking to us first.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory consumer rights.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. We may update these terms as the product evolves; material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
Privacy Policy
Effective 10 June 2026
We collect as little as the product needs, and this page lists all of it.
Files you convert
- Uploaded designs are processed on our conversion server (hosted on Railway) and deleted automatically once your converted file has been delivered. We don’t keep, read, or train anything on your designs.
- One exception, and it’s your call: if you use the “send us this file” button after a bad conversion, that file is emailed to our support inbox so we can reproduce and fix the problem. It isn’t stored on the conversion server, isn’t used for anything except debugging, and is deleted once the fix ships. Want it gone sooner? Say so at support@idmly.com.
Waitlist & contact
- If you join the waitlist, your email address is stored with SendGrid (our email provider) so we can write to you about idmly. Unsubscribe anytime — every email includes a link, or just ask at support@idmly.com.
- If you email support, we keep the correspondence so we can help you.
Purchases & licenses
- Payments are handled end-to-end by Creem.io as merchant of record under Creem’s privacy policy. We receive your license details, not your payment card data.
- Your license key and its activation id are stored in your own browser (localStorage) so you don’t have to re-enter them. They are sent to our server only to validate a conversion.
Advertising measurement
- The site loads no browser analytics or advertising pixel — ad results are confirmed from our server, not from your browser (see below). We also keep an anonymous, aggregate count of conversions on our own server — no IP, email, or anything that identifies you. (We do set one first-party cookie; see Cookies.)
- If you arrive here by clicking one of our ads, the ad platform’s click id is kept in your own browser (localStorage). If you then convert a trial or buy a license, our server confirms that single conversion to the ad platform (Meta) server-to-server — the click id, and for purchases a hashed (unreadable) form of your email, plus the technical request data. This tells the platform “that click led to a result” so we can measure our ads. It is never used for anything else, and visitors who don’t come from an ad are never reported to anyone.
- If you ask us to email you a link to finish on a computer, we use the email address you enter once — only to send that link. The link carries your ad-click context forward so the conversion can still be measured. We don’t add you to any list from that.
Infrastructure
- The website is hosted on Vercel and the conversion engine on Railway. Like all web infrastructure, they keep short-lived technical logs (IP address, request time) for security and reliability. These providers are based in the United States, so processing may happen outside South Africa with appropriate safeguards.
- Fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives the technical request data needed to serve them.
Your rights
Under POPIA (and, where it applies, the GDPR) you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to our processing: support@idmly.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) or your local supervisory authority.
Refund Policy
Effective 10 June 2026
- Try before you buy: the first two pages of any file convert free, so you can test idmly on your own design before paying.
- If idmly cannot produce a usable, editable file from your design, email support@idmly.com within 14 days of purchase — include the design file so we can reproduce the problem. We’ll fix it or refund you.
- Approved refunds are processed by Creem.io (our merchant of record) back to your original payment method.
- Nothing here limits your statutory rights, including under the South African Consumer Protection Act.
